EMAIL TITLE: NASCAR IS NOT A SPORT, REMOVE IT FROM SPORTS CENTER
EMAIL CONTENT:
Dear ESPN Sports Center
You and I are about to participate in a little session of Tough Love. I
am not referring to the type of Tough Love that Japanese Businessmen request
from a discreet hotel concierge. I am referring to the traditional type of
Tough Love where we talk about something that you are doing wrong and I put
it in your face, so that you can fix it. So… prepare for the love,
here it comes:
NASCAR is not a Sport and you need to stop covering it on Sports Center.
Your decision to report on NASCAR is both a very bad decision and a very
dumb decision.
As I stated earlier NASCAR is not a Sport and your show is called “Sports
Center.” If the show was called “Traffic Center,” “Driving
in Circles Center,” “Redneck Center,” or “What is
new in the world of fiberglass, non-street-legal cars Center” then
it would be ok.
You are insulting the real athletes of the world when you use time to report
on NASCAR that could be devoted to TO and his attitude, who Kurt Warner is
preaching too now, college athletes receiving gifts from USC alumni and Kobe
Bryant SCORING 81 POINTS – you hardly covered that.
So find the guy who put NASCAR on the Sport Center agenda and apologize
to him for listening to his horrible idea then forgive him, but make him
sit in the worst cubical in the building until his quits.
So lets get moving. Dump the NASCAR and give me more Barry Bonds, NY Yankees,
NL Wild Card and Kobe Bryant.
You should know that once NASCAR is no longer on Sports Center, you are
forgiven.
Your loyal viewer, at two – threes a week unless Lost, 24, Big Brother,
AFV or reruns of Law and Order are on.
(your name here)
p.s. – (put something personal here, like: the graphics for Monday Night
Football are cool, or is Bill Walton as hot in real life as he is on TV or
is Charles Barkley really that fat or is the camera adding 10 pounds?)
